Joshua, a twin, was one of seven children who grew up in a Christian home never to give anyone a bit of trouble of any kind. He completed high school at Pleasant View Christian Academy in Taylors, SC in 2000 while working at a local Burger King in Travelers Rest, SC. Shortly after high school he and his twin brother, Joseph, began working at the local JP Stevens Fiberglass plant in nearby Slater, SC where their older brother Jonathan was already employed.
After the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, DC, Joshua felt a strong desire to join the US Marines and to go serve our country. He enlisted into the USMC in November 2001 and after serving approximately a year and a half, six months of that in Iraq during the recent Iraqi liberation, he returned home to his family. On his way back to base at Camp Lejeune, NC on July 6, 2003, Josh lost control of his vehicle, crashing into trees alongside the road and was instantly killed.
He is greatly missed here on earth, but because of his Christian faith, we know he is waiting on the rest of his family to join him. His smile and sweet personality is what most have said they miss most about Josh.
